The Lewis Museum is proud to announce an exciting lineup of exhibitions opening this spring, including “Voices of the Chesapeake” and “Civil Rights in Maryland.”
The Baltimore Sun explores how The Lewis Museum has become a cultural anchor in downtown Baltimore, attracting over 50,000 visitors annually.
Starting in January, families can enjoy monthly workshops that bring Maryland’s African American history to life through hands-on activities and storytelling.
The museum has been awarded a $500,000 grant from the Maryland State Arts Council to expand educational programming and teacher resources.
Due to overwhelming response, the groundbreaking exhibition exploring quilts as tools of resistance will remain on view through October 2026.
