Story Time: Daddy, There’s a Noise Outside

Join teaching artist Culture Queen for music, movement, and a story reading of Daddy, There’s a Noise Outside by Kenneth Braswell to help 1st-4th graders understand the nuances of civic protest. The story begins when two children are awakened by noises in the middle of the night coming from outside the window of their inner city neighborhood. Their dad and mom spend the next morning explaining what was taking place in their community. An art activity connected to protest and community follows.
