Kin Killin’ Kin: A Community Forum on Gun Violence


Opening Program for the Exhibit "Kin Killin' Kin"

With gun violence prevalent on both the national and local levels, artist James Pate of the exhibit Kin Killin' Kin and curator Willis Bing Davis join for a community forum on the topic. The discussions aim towards plausible solutions to violence prevention at the local level. Panelists include Daphne Alston, founder of MOMS (Mothers against Murdered Sons and Daughters); Eddie Conway, senior producer of the Real News Network and former Black Panther; Bobby Marvin Holmes, writer/producer of the documentary Live Young Blood; and DeJuan Patterson, a community organizer and social impact consultant with the BeMore Group. In conjunction with the exhibition Kin Killin' Kin.
