Celebrate Caribbean Heritage Month with music, Caribbean food, film, and talks honoring reggae legend Bob Marley. Start the day by meeting Center Stage cast members from the musical Marley. The work is a world premiere by Center Stage Artistic Director Kwame Kwei-Armah. Set in London, the musical tells of Marley's self-imposed exile of nearly two years in the U.K. after an assassination attempt on his life in 1976. Meet the man behind the work, Kwei-Armah, as he speaks about the musical's genesis. Center Stage tickets to Marley will be raffled at Kwame Kwei-Armah’s talk. Audience Q&A to follow. Complete the day by jamming to Marley’s music with live reggae band, Strykers Posse, and catch documentaries about the life of this artist and activist. Caribbean food available for purchase in the museum cafe'.
